This October we attended Reflect Festival, the biggest festival for creative entrepreneurs and technology in Cyprus. We had a blast! We were overly excited about this one as it brought together a collation of panels, conferences, and parties with entrepreneurship and technology at its core. Our kinds of people! In total, there were 2 days of events with 5 different venues across Limassol and thousands of participants from all over Europe! Here is our experience of the event, and why you should attend it next year.

The event started long before October for us, as we prepared intensely for the festival. We assembled our Capabilities reel, and giveaways to our new connections and prepared our presence with banners, flyers, and a whole lotta yellow...like a lot. 

In this year's edition, Factory 39 actively supported the event by having a booth in the Partners section of the Carob Mill exhibition area. But the real Kickstarter of the event was the kick-off party at Limassol Agora. Upon stepping into the party, the energy and vibe were really welcoming, and people were ready with one common goal for the night, to connect with each other. That was the event’s tagline, Doers United! And that is what we did!

 

 

At the festival grounds, there was already movement and chatting with the exhibitors. People with various backgrounds got to know each other and made connections that could later lead to partnerships and cooperation. That is what is great about this event. Fun Fact, we met our nowadays partner “Ask Wire” at last year’s event, so we are grateful for that. 

 

After attending some talks, we also had a talk of our own at the Old Port Stage! Our Co-Founder Martin Zarian, talked about what’s in common between a tampon and a Rolex... Pretty standard topic from Martin to be honest. At Factory 39, we were cheering him on like proud parents on the edge of our front-row seats. After the speech, we returned to our yellow fort for further conversations with companies and individuals interested in branding, strategy, and software.

We will most definitely be coming back next year and we want to thank the hosts of this event for their huge effort. The festival was a great success, and this is reflected (😉) through the 5000+ people that visited either stages or exhibition areas.
